Hello!
My name is Aiko, the owner and baker of Akarenga Pan-Ya. I'm excited to share my passion for baking with you through this pop-up, named in honor of my grandparents' old café in Japan, Akarenga, which means "red brick." In Japanese, "pan-ya" refers to a bakery, and I aim to combine my fine dining experience to create elevated, Japanese-inspired baked goods.
My goal is to bring a unique blend of flavors to my hometown of Austin, where you can indulge in delightful treats that remind me of my roots. To give back to the city that has given me so much, we’ve incorporated an opportunity with each purchase to help feed people through the Central Texas Food Bank.
